About Amanda

Empowering International Medical Graduates to Thrive in U.S. Healthcare

Hi, I’m Amanda Mull, an English communication coach specializing in supporting International Medical Graduates as they transition into the U.S. healthcare system. With a Master’s Degree in English, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification, and over a decade of teaching experience, I help new physicians develop the clarity, confidence, and accuracy needed to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues in fast-paced clinical environments.
My work is grounded in both professional expertise and personal experience. Through early interactions my family and I had with physicians, I developed a deep appreciation for how communication shapes trust, understanding, and patient care, especially when cultural and linguistic differences are present. That perspective continues to guide how I support IMGs today.
In U.S. healthcare, clinical knowledge alone isn’t enough. Physicians must navigate complex patient conversations, collaborate across interdisciplinary teams, and interpret a wide range of regional accents and communication styles. My programs are designed to build these skills progressively, starting with strong communication foundations and extending into advanced practice and leadership contexts.
Whether you’re preparing to begin residency or seeking deeper communication support as your responsibilities grow, I offer structured training and individualized guidance to help you communicate with confidence and intention at each stage.
